This time it is a Federal Liberal cabinet minister. David Emerson of BC referred to Jack Layton as having a "boiled dog's head smile.''

Symbolic of the arrogance and lack of discipline in the Martin Liberals.

Paul Wells had the best line with respect to this one.

David Emerson says he meant no disrespect when he said Jack Layton has a "boiled dog's-head smile."

So did he mean to show respect?

If so, he's really bad at it

It seems that it is a Chinese saying. Emerson says that his wife says it of him, too.
