There is a way of voting no-confidence and bringing down a government. That way is by defeating it on a money bill. This "compromise" os som[ly gamesmanship and Layton has disappointed me to the point where, for the first time, I may vote Liberal.

"We don't like your government but we dare not oppose your budget and annoy the voters, so will you please sign a piece of paper to say that you will relinquish government when we want you to."

All it looks like to me is that he said he "MAY" vote liberal. What is with hanging everybody without real proof, or evidence? This is one of the attitudes I am talking about. Harper has the exact same approach in every sound bite.

I want some facts. Not accusations and circumstance. That is what the witch trials where all about. My god do we need to learn that horrible lesson again?

Here is some facts for you. Justice Gomery found that the Liberal Party of Canada was responsible for the theft of $1.14 Million in the sponsorship scandal. The Party has not disputed this. Gomery clearly wasn't a *witch trial*. That amount of money is sickening and the party found guilty of stealing it does not deserve to be elected in the election immediatley following the release of the results.

That was not the Paul Martin led Liberals. Martin was exhonerated, but you wouldn't know it from this site! Please show me where it says "Martin was responsible", and where I said "Gomery was a witch hunt". Just some more baseless accusations being made.

I would like to see the quote about the "Liberal Party" being responsible for the theft.

Are you sure it wasn't just some "members of the liberal party"?

Because I just can't recall when the whole party was found to be involved, by Gomery.
