robosmith Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 Seems like a clear sign that the server is OVERLOADED. Quote
Forum Admin Greg Posted June 19, 2023 Forum Admin Report Posted June 19, 2023 I've activated some database caching today... lets give it a day or two, and if the unresponsiveness continues, I'll remove the caching (which is supposed to help, not hinder). Thanks Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.

Forum Admin Greg Posted June 19, 2023 Forum Admin Report Posted June 19, 2023 Just so everyone understands, the cache has to be built, before it can actually serve any data. I suspect that the slow downs are the result of the cache being slowly built. Which is why I want to give it a few days, so that should provide enough traffic that the redis cache can cache what it needs to, and then we should have a speed increase in database requests. However, redis isn't really my specialty, so it might not be the best choice. We were using it before, but I've increased its usage to include sessions and topic view counters. The site is almost unusable. Quote

Sometimes I have to wait 5+ minutes before it will even accept ANY input. Just repeated wait or reload msgs. You should take my reports seriously. I don't post random nor dishonest reports. Quote
