Large Group Protests Dodgers’ Pride Night; Sparse Crowd Watches Drag ‘Nuns’ Get Honored

A large group of demonstrators protested the Los Angeles Dodgers honoring a drag troupe of self-described “queer and trans nuns” on Friday.

Crowds gathered outside Dodger Stadium, where the team would later recognize the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at its annual Pride Night celebration. The group has outraged Catholics due to certain antics, such as pole dancing on a cross, that they say are a mockery of their faith.

The rally on Friday was organized by a group called Catholics for Catholics, which disseminated flyers that called on people to join “in prayerful response to Dodgers’ godless decision to honor blasphemous, Christ-mocking ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,’” according to local news station KTLA.

1.  A group of queer and trans nuns decided to overlook the Catholic vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, to put on a spectacle that is about as despicable as it gets. Are these REAL Catholic nuns (which is not out of the question) or just some sick pedophile actors who got a bunch of habits and wimples to wear?

2. A group of CATHOLICS protested outside Dodger stadium. Apparently, they disagree with the sick exhibition going on inside (which by the way, resulted in the record LOWEST crowd in the history of that stadium).

3. Are any of you just a LITTLE taken by the ironic nature of this, since the Catholic Church actually looked the other way when a small group of its priests began having sex with little boys? (Personally, if I were a Bishop of the diocese, those freaks would be behind bars in a heartbeat)

If you think it is okay for nuns (real or not) to put on a sick show like this) what would you think of a show where a man dressed like Mohanmed was bent over and taking it up the ass by a man dressed like a Jewish Rabbi? Maybe the Mohammed guy would then turn around and give the Jew guy a blow job? How would that work for you, since it's all about alternative lifestyles. And would you be okay with this show taking place in Saudi Arabia or Iran?

Apparently the turnout wasn't low at all, it was above avg for the Dodgers, and they have the league's highest attendance according to this article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2023/06/17/dodgers-pride-night-draws-usual-turnout-mostly-empty-stadium-claims-prove-false/?sh=6d2d28337ef8

I don't know if that was the actual "attendance" figure or the number of tickets sold for that game... I wouldn't put it past any media outlet to bend the truth or to err on the side of their own confirmation bias, but I don't know Forbes track record for integrity so I'll just assume that they were correct - it's not that big of a deal for me. If it was I'd try to look into it further. 

If WashPo, CNN, NYT, CTV cited that attendance figure I'd disregard it out of hand.

The higher-ups in the Catholic Church are definitely complicit/revolting, but I don't think that everyone in the religion needs to bear that cross for them. I wouldn't single them out either, even if it does make them more hypocritical than most due to their "holier than thou" attitude...

The RCMP did the same for their members who were having their way with native girls, the FBI blatantly commits crimes, the Dems and Republicans have a congressional slush fund to fight off sexual harassment charges, and buggery of boys is quite commonplace/acceptable/respectable and even commendable in some places (by 'places' I mean 'countries'). The leaders of our military 'allies' in Afghanistan considered boy toys to be the thing to have. "Everyone who's anyone has a young boy whom they regularly molest". (TBH I doubt they refer to it as molestation, but I don't want to know if they consider it "love-making" or whatever)
