Liberal gaffe in Quebec

This might be a little confusing in English-Canada.

Many years ago, a group of Quebec actors put together the "National Improvisation League" (here is theire web site) modeled on the NHL in which teams of actors would compete for points by doing improvs. It has been very successful.

The Liberal Party now has TV ads based on the same concept (See ads here.)

Now the creator of the Improv league is angry that the Liberals are using the idea without any reference or permission.

Dans une lettre adressée au chef libéral Paul Martin, le cocréateur de la Ligue nationale d'improvisation, Yvon Leduc, se dit outré que ni l'agence publicitaire, ni le Parti libéral ne l'aient consulté avant de reprendre le concept qu'il a créé dans les années 70 avec le comédien Robert Gravel.

« Après le scandale des commandites et tous les problèmes d'éthique qui ont été soulevés, je ne comprends vraiment pas ce manque de considération à notre égard, ainsi qu'à celui de tous les artistes et artisans qui ont contribué au succès de la LNI », estime M. Gravel.

The Liberals really need long a time out. I really wish Quebequers would stop sticking to the rest of the country by voting for MPs that cannot participate in a gov't coalition.
