There's NO WAY Floridians want our amazing governor to go ANYWHERE before he serves his second term. Yes, he would be the perfect running mate for Trump and would easily slide into the presidency for eight years. And he would continue the Trump success.

Frankly, I'd like to see a Trump/Cruz ticket. That combination would win in a landslide and really piss off the entitled, triggered Woke idiots.

I love Cruz. I love DeSantis. I'm still in the process of vetting Lake.

But, what if DeSantis continues as FL's GOV and when he's no longer eligible to run, what if he has been overtaken by other smart, MAGAN candidates and never gets another chance at the White House?

In between the spam -> This is a good topic of discussion.

Let me answer outside the box.

If the popularity of Tulsi Gabbard will grow amongst republicans (the republican vote is not only DONKIROCK) -> the elders might come together and propose a ticket:

De Santis / Tulsi Gabbard (that depends if she will make the switch).

Don't care about your idealism, just talking practical.

If the electorate keeps splitting on the right -> this is a solution that will work for power.

On this forum, it is split, with a few Gabbard's supporters.

Here is a suggestion for you.

Newt Gingrich should quit the GOP and declare himself a Democrat presidential candidate.

What's wrong with that?

I like Gabbard. I have to wonder if some of the support she's professed in the past, was perhaps just pure political pressure from the party?

That might be, but why weren't other Democrats pressured into endorsing a Communist?

And has anyone seen an interview of her explaining her awful political acumen to do such a thing?

And do you want a POTUS who the party can pressure into supporting a Communist?

We want CLEANER, MORE ACCOUNTABLY HONEST POLITICS.

We want a combat vet to show courage in Washington D.C. and not just on the battlefields of Iraq.

Good points all. Yet I wonder...were Gabbard on the ticket as VP, would that make it easy for independants and centrist Dumbocrats to vote Republican?

And then when we weren't in an election year, those indies and Dems would say that we had manipulated them to get their votes and that we were no more honest than the Dems.

Then we would realize we were better off being honest.

Anyone who likes playing deceptive games on voters should find a nice welcome from the DNC.

DeSantis can finish out his second term by 2026. Trump will be halfway through his very successful second term and will be laying the groundwork for DeSantis to take over. In the  process, MORE Democrats will lose their seats in Congress

DeSantis will be taking over at a very good time and his policies can only make things a lot better.

Remember, Florida's budget is in a surplus and we have no state income tax. DeSantis might be able to do this for America.

The thing to do in this particular case is to imagine you are new to following politics and you hear conflicting allegations between the Dems vs the GOP and you are trying to figure out which side to follow.

Imagine it is your son or grandson or daughter or granddaughter.

And you are trying to show them which side is BEST.

How do you make them trust YOUR ADVICE if you advise them to vote for a party which lies, cheats or steals to win?

If we sink to the Democrat's level of depravity, we are no better than the Demwits.

In fact, we are worse than them because the Dems are better practiced at being dishonest.

They are forced to be dishonest because that's the only way they can win.

Many of them are born with a slight disability with several symptoms.

There are obviously some very brilliant Dems. But many more who are physically/mentally challenged in ways you would never notice.

If you want me to go into detail, I'll be glad to.

But if we cheat to win, we become indistinguishable from the Dems.

We deprive your kids a party to choose instead of one to settle for.

You want to teach your children well.

So, who would you propose being Trump's VP until DeSantis becomes available in 2026?

How would the 2 year VP be persuaded to go for this plan?

It is not just a matter of defeating the Dems, but preserving, protecting and defending America and ourselves from even what WE might do errantly or misguidedly.

I still look to Ted Cruz for the whole shebang. Either that or Trump nominate Cruz to the Supreme Court.

Of course, Cruz could serve two years as VP and then be appointed to the Supreme Court. Thing is, DeSantis wouldn't be able to step in to the VP spot. It would be according to succession, which would mean the Speaker Of the House.
