August1991 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Against my better nature, I must admit in public to a habit of listening to youtube videos of Forensic Files. The narrator's voice helps me go to sleep. Well, I think that I heard a similar story while dozing. And well, this one is good. Move beyond the first episode and you'll enjoy the acting skills of Eric Bana. Typical of good/bad, white hat/black hat, Old Testament Hollywood, in the Netflix/LA Times version, he's a bad guy. And she's a good person. Indeed, all the women are good - even the daughters (whose voice is so, you know, like uptalk.) Life? It ain't so simple. As a Canadian, something else bugged me. This Hollywood movie portrayed people in Ohio as stupid, naive. I have been to Ohio and Indiana. IME, Americans may be overweight but they are practical, smart, honest, good people. Hollywood screenwriters have a big problem telling a good story to people in Ohio. Quote
