Any brutal thug dictator not currently serving US interests had better watch out. There is a faint hope, because GW Bush (finally) recentlyadmitted that 'even the US has to watch with whom they jump into bed', but saying it and acting on it are two different things. 'Pres' Perez is in the US' favour because he is a 'moderate' Islamist, not a 'radical' one, which means that they can count on him to reasonably serve US interests, without the hassle of replacing him with someone who will.
