moderateamericain
something that ive been thinking about for a while now. a few things that im fairly certain would occur if we A. pulled all are troops back, and B. stoped foriegn aid to other countries and cut off United Nations. 1. Isriael would be slaughterd, the muslims would over power the jews in numbers 2. NK would invade SK 3. the enconomies of Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Japan would all take huge hits with the removal of the permanent american bases there. 4. China would never get favored trade status revoked. only good thing id see is increased business with canada.
kimmy
Those are possibilities, I suppose. They could happen; I'm not sure that they would, but the potential is there. In any case I'm glad that the US is not an isolationist country. Despite the angry claims of some, I think that on balance the world is a better place than it would be without US participation in international affairs. -kimmy
ceemes
something that ive been thinking about for a while now.a few things that im fairly certain would occur if we A. pulled all are troops back, and B. stoped foriegn aid to other countries and cut off United Nations. If America went back to the 1950's? 1. Isriael would be slaughterd, the muslims would over power the jews in numbers Let see, Israel came into being in 1948, largely with the backing, support and protection of the US.....so no change there. 2. NK would invade SK North Korea did invade South Korea in 1950. The US interviened and invaded South Korea in return and would of forcably reunified the two nations had not that moron MacArthur tugged on the Chinese Tigers tail at the Chosen Reservor.....so no change 3. the enconomies of Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Japan would all take huge hits with the removal of the permanent american bases there. It was during the late 40's and early 50's that the US placed bases in Germany, Turkey, and Japan. As for Saudi Arabia, as long as the US is addicted to light crude, hen teh Saudi's will have little to worry about.....so again, no change. 4. China would never get favored trade status revoked. This is possible, however, the US has always been attracted to cheap goods from third world nations. only good thing id see is increased business with canada. Maybe, maybe not.......one thing is for sure....the world would be a bit more peacefull without the US sticking its nose into everyone else's business..
