Why did CBC give airtime to Bill Browder?

I've noted that Carol Off the host of CBC Radio's The Current often goes to Jews - excuse me - right wing Zionist Jews for Mid East foreign policy views - which of course support the tribes narrative. I.e. the Assad is using chemical weapons. If you don't understand why its' an absurdity that Assad is killing strategically rich target like civilians with chemical weapons, then please read no further.

It's not clear to me, why as a tax paying Canadian to support mendacious narratives which can only lead to conflict and  war and why the CBC carries water.

Recently though my ire was raised when The Current gave not only airtime to Bill Browder but supported almost unquestioningly his demonstrably bogus narrative which lead to the Maginsky Act and escalating conflicts with that global power with a GDP less than Canada's - Russia.

There are books and even a documentary that disputes Browder's contentions but he has successfully sued to have these items pulled or blocked, or kept from public view.  Read more:

I have heard Mr. Browder on podcasts and he lays out a pretty convincing narrative as to why Russian oligarchs need to be sanctioned for their misdeeds.  Bringing up his Jewishness is pretty telling - why do you think MLW people would care ?

 

Also the Maginsky Act is an American law - not applicable to Canada either.  Good to know that Russia has people on here lobbying for it.

Thank you for your input Michael, we are thankful you are here, we know that any issue that involves Israel or Jews - you and a few others will surely speak up. It's too bad the CJC doesn't pay you anything, but I suppose there will be quiet ceremonies for hasbara activity. :)

However you didn't address the issue I raised, why does the CBC feel it needs to go to bat for someone who started this latest cold war with Russia? Why won't the CBC give airtime to Browder's detractors? After all his travails has lead to the creation of the Magnitsky Act. Why is the CBC on the Russiaphobe bandwagon? I thought us taxpayers paid for the CBC to represent Canadian views.

I just can't figure out how a country with a smaller GDP than Canada is such a threat? Why all the fearmongering for Russia and Putin?

You don't need to be paid by some nefarious Jewish conspiracy to support the Maginsky act or oppose idiots who espouse hostile views of Jews, you only need to be at least mildly intelligent and reasonably well-educated.
