Headline: Bush offers budget with deep spending cuts

1/2 % reduction in discretionary spending is a deep spending cut?

It's a budget of $2.5 trillion. That number is incomprehensible. It turns out to be about $8000 for each American.

I hate to think of the pork. 1/2 % reduction is nothing. Nevertheless, wait for the howls.
