August1991
For the first 20 minutes or so, the movie is kinda boring. It's almost like a Cold Case file without the wonderful narration of Bill Kurtis. Then, it becomes intriguing. The movie is well made. The Australian actor, with his teeth protusion/voice, made me believe that he was Teddy. Even Bruce Dern was good. Will kids born around 1995 or 2005 or so want to see this Netflix/video/youtube/movie in the future? I suspect, yes - they may even pay to see it in a cinema. The movie presents basic facts with a name they've heard. (There was a UK movie Scandal made several years ago - good actors, good song - about a UK scandal. No one remembers it.) Truth? God knows. But in this movie, I suspect God has been generous to the Kennedys - and made a good movie. In the case of the Kennedy family and American leftists, as the kids say nowadays, "this one is different". So, of course there's a political angle: What's the line about about Nixon/Watergate? It's not the crime; it's the cover-up.
