moderateamericain Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Is this Round # 3 that I see coming? I hope McCain was truely joking about Jeb running in 2008....Although to be truthful, I think he may be a bit brighter than W. Republicans tend to be an orderly sort who always choose the next one up, whether it was Bob Dole in 1996 or George W. Bush in 2000. Who's the next one up in 2008?MCCAIN: Jeb Bush. (LAUGHTER) http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,148875,00.html Its always such a good ole time when the Republicans drop in on their friends a t Fox.... id like to see mccain run, hes always appeared as a very thoughtful, intelligent, moderate republican. ive seen him stand up to bush on more than one occasion. Bob 101 Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 I don't know what the big deal is here. Just because Bush won, everyone is starting these rumors that the polls were rigged. But I would bet money on it that if Kerry won none of you would even be mentioning a rigged vote. The only reason you are bringing up these rumors are because you don't like Bush. Quote
Shakeyhands Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 more correctly Bob, I think it an impossibility that the same sort of thing could happen twice... Listen, there really is too much information out there to just blow it off as people being upset because Bush won. How come it is any different than what happened in the Ukraine? Same story really, exit polls there show Yuschenko miles ahead too. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
moderateamericain Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 exit polls are such BS, lets see lets do an exit poll and base it off 1000 voters who live in San Fransisco, dang ya think thats gonna be scewed just a little bit? the fact is not a single one is accurate. for the whole country. Montgomery Burns Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 If the Supreme court had permitted Florida to count its ballots, we would know the answer to that. By fraudulently preventing Florida from concluding its election, the Supreme Court effectively appointed Bush. He was not elected. Nonsense. The Democrat-controlled State Supreme Court allowed recount after recount and would have allowed this to go for years in the faint hope that one of the recounts would have shown Gore as the winner. Thankfully the Federal Supreme Court stepped in (finally!) and out an end to this nonsense. Bush won fair and square, despite the Donks pulling every filthy trick in the book to steal Florida - from disqualifying oversea military ballots, allowing felons to vote, and registering dead Indians to "vote". But all of this would be moot if Gore had won his own state. Kinda like John Edwards. The people of these two states must've known something wasn't right with these two. Black Dog Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 What went wrong in Ohio With regards to our factual finding, in brief, we find that there were massive and unprecedented voter irregularities and anomalies in Ohio. In many cases these irregularities were caused by intentional misconduct and illegal behavior, much of it involving Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell, the co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign in Ohio.First, in the run up to election day, the following actions by Mr. Blackwell, the Republican Party and election officials disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of Ohio citizens, predominantly minority and Democratic voters: ... Second, on election day, there were numerous unexplained anomalies and irregularities involving hundreds of thousands of votes that have yet to be accounted for: ... Third, in the post-election period we learned of numerous irregularities in tallying provisional ballots and conducting and completing the recount that disenfanchised thousands of voters and call the entire recount procedure into question (as of this date the recount is still not complete): ...
