Topaz
Not sure if this goes here but just a few minutes I got a call saying someone had used my credit card for a purchase of 400.00 and the bank was checking to see if I had used it because it was used in China. The guy has a very lower voice and was hard to hear but instantly I thought this is a scam. They start off saying the first 4 numbers of your credit card and want the rest from you, yeah, right! So in the end, I told him I would call the bank as talk to them and he hung up. I did some research online for the number I got by pressing *69, which lead me to Lexington Kentucky "859" code and where I found 17 complaints about this number and all had been called early morning saying the same thing. So, just beware if u get a early morning call that someone has used your credit card. BTW, I did call my bank and the person said they get these scams all the time and it best not to give out any info. until YOU call your bank. Topaz
The first four numbers of all VISA cards are the same. Yes I know that and the bank personnel said the same thing but the guy was talking so low that I couldn't hear, just bits of pieces. I usually tell them I don't have a computer and a credit card and they leave me alone.
