I was impressed to see that someone has created yet another safety device that can be used by folks working in high rises:

Years ago when I still travelled, I remember being very careful of which room I chose to stay in hotels and motels. I would have felt a little more secure with one of these.

Maybe something to think about if you work in a place that is up to 25 stories but a bit bulky and heavy to put in your luggage. When I check into a hotel I note the location of the nearest fire exit and count the number of doors between it and my room. That way I can find it in the dark or smoke.
