Argus Posted August 22, 2015 Report Posted August 22, 2015 I know what it says, I cited it........ And yet you are arguing against your own cite. So more police will address this how? Already asked and answered. Deal with the answer before you ask again. Who cares???? I bet the police per population is greater in North Korea or China, doesn't mean we should follow suit.... Comparing us to North Korea is rather silly. Comparing us to France, the UK and US is less so. In areas where crime has been significantly reduced, Which is where, exactly? yes we should reduce policing numbers, not increase them at over twice the rate of population growth, when overall crime is declining. It's not increasing at twice the population growth. You liberals simply cherry pick data to support your anti-police arguments. Derek 2.0 Posted August 23, 2015 Author Report Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) And yet you are arguing against your own cite. No, I'm not, nor do I discount it. Already asked and answered. Deal with the answer before you ask again. Well no, you didn't answer the question, nor refute the cited experts that say policing levels have no direct correlation on crime rates. Comparing us to North Korea is rather silly. Comparing us to France, the UK and US is less so. Why is that? The United States has a far greater rate of police per population, yet far higher crime rates than Canada.......using your logic, since the United States has more police per capita than Canada, the United States should have less crime than Canada................ Which is where, exactly? In which ever communities across Canada that have seen consistent drops in crimes............ It's not increasing at twice the population growth. You liberals simply cherry pick data to support your anti-police arguments. And you're unable to refute data, instead reliant upon bombastic personal tales and personal insults Using Statistics Canada figures, including Police-Reported Crime Statistics, Di Matteo found that between 2001 and 2012, the number of police officers in Canada grew 21.8 per cent (from 57,076 to 69,505) while the Canadian population increased only 12.2 per cent. I misread the data, I correct myself to increasing police officers nearly twice the rate of population growth despite a decrease in crime.......... Now make up another one of your tales, maybe work in how the untermensch are to blame, then contradict yourself, well decrying empirical data cited from topical experts ........you're on a roll!!!! cybercoma Posted August 23, 2015 Report Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) I'll cite the rest of the report that you're paraphrasing, well including the actual conclusion: That literally has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. But thanks? Edited August 23, 2015 by cybercoma Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted August 23, 2015 Author Report Posted August 23, 2015 That literally has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. But thanks? Actually, your post that I quoted was nearly verbatim to a two sentence passage from within a multi-page report..........I assumed you were just making it your own.......mea culpa Quote
