Right. We can see what was accomplished each day in the news when another bomb goes off in Baghdad or Kabul

Still off topic....obviously you do not wish to discuss bombing vs. invasion. Thought so.....

There are some substantial legal differences between what we call Gulf war I and II. You don't seem to see them. It really has nothing to do with Muslims as you seem to think.

The topic is U.S. invasions of Muslim countries....yay or nay. You cannot deal with the same question for Canada it seems. Typical.

Why didn't the US have the guts to invade Saudi Arabia after 9-11? That's where the terrorists came from. Oops, wouldn't want to mess with the flow of oil. Or is Bush really that bad when it comes to geography?

The U.S. "invaded" Saudi Arabia in 1990...began moving those forward deployed forces to other Muslim nations in 2003. See Joint Task Force Southwest Asia.

What malarcky. You invaded Iraq. You kissed a lot of Saudi ass.

Troops on sacred Muslim land doesn't care what you think. Try to stay on topic. The Saudis didn't want an Iraq invasion for fear of strengthening Iran's influence in the region. So much for kissing "ass".

Typical avoidance. Can you explain why a bunch of Saudi terrorists flew planes into US buildings and as a result you attacked Iraq?

Of course....the attacks were plotted for years in response to several U.S. policies, making the previous and ongoing engagement of Iraq by the UK/US upgraded to a full blown invasion to topple Saddam's regime. This was a matter of U.S. Public Law.

The U.S. had been attacking Iraq for over 12 years prior.

Is that right? You think you'd learn after awhile.

Anyway, the question of invading Muslim nations is really determined by U.S. and allied interests. VP Cheney made it quite clear: the world can have terrorism with access to oil reserves, or the world can have terorrism with less access to oil reserves. No brainer !!

We didn't support you in Iraq because it was an illegal war according to the UN. Sorry about that.

That's OK...Canada was already tapped out in Afghanistan. Everybody already knew that.

Well we all know Cheney had a serious lack of brains, which is probably why he made such a statement. But I tell you the ones who we all like to laugh at more is those of the illustrious Donald Rumsfeld. You know, we don't know what we knwo but we know what e we dont know we known we dont know what the hell do we don't know on and on and on, and to think, this man had some power.

Meh...."a proof is a proof.....", and Chretien was the Prime Minister of Canada. He bombed Christians instead of Muslims in Serbia, but probably killed both. He also wanted to invade (troops on the ground) for Kosovo.

I guess you weren't paying attention when John Chretien replied to Bush about Iraq. Let me set you straight. He said "NO" or "NON" in French. They both meant the same thing.

Looks like that made a big difference....the invasion happened anyway....nobody cared...in French too. Canada made lots of money on the war, as usual.

And I might add, whether left or right wing politically, a lot of Canadians were proud of the backbone Chretien displayed.

Good for them....better to invade and kill Muslims in Afghanistan, right ?

No, in reality with regard to money, the US lost a shitload. Rumsfeld said at one point it would be self financing once the oil started to flow. Now I've seen things go haywire, but never quite like that!

Off topic, but Canada made money selling war materials for that invasion, like subsystems for AH-64 Apache attack helos.
