Of course it doesn't guarantee a good job. Nothing guarantees a good job. That being said, the choice of degree can have a strong impact on how likely it will be for one to find a good job. People need to consider their employment prospects when picking a degree. A lot of people take relatively useless degrees and then wonder why they cant find a job, but it's no mystery at all.

But it's the fault of corporate greed. A philosophy degree should be an automatic gateway to a 6-figure job! [/sarcasm]
