August1991 Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 The mayors from the country's ten hub cities say they're making a "reasonable" request for at least 2.5 cents a litre in 2005 ramping up to the full five cents - about $2.5 billion - by 2007. Gas Tax revenues The provinces got $4 billion annually for health care. Cities now want $2.5 billion annually. I don't know what a "city" is (only the ten?). I suppose this is new federal money. Incidentally, the federal budget has spending at about $180 billion. Canada's GDP is about $1,100 billion. Quote
