socialist Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 maybe some of you on here who ignorantly assume educators are only in it for money should read this article. BC teachers would not accept higher salaries for oversized classes. Why you ask? because educators are the only ones who care about their learners. that's why. hopefully some of you can actually understand this article and keep your ill-informed opinions to yourselves. http://www.bctf.ca/NewsReleases.aspx Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.

socialist Posted September 21, 2012 Author Report Posted September 21, 2012 It amazes me how many people on this forum are truly ignorant about the jobs educators do in public schools. Those know-nothing posters include, in o particular order: wildbill, gosthacked, signals cpl, CPCFTW, Moonlight Graham, Shady, Jack Weber, Boges, gunrutz, westguy, Peeves, sharkman, madmax, Bonam. Honestly, you guys make me afraid for this country. Thankfully there are intelligent people here like Michael Hardner and wyly, who aren't teachers, but sure have a solid understanding of public education, and who know the importance of educators in promoting a just and tolerant society. GostHacked Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 How? I, along with the rest of my team (can't do it all alone) are responsible for making sure the IT equipment and systems are always running in order to distribute groceries on a national scale. We assure things are done as efficiently as possible and with as little errors as possible. We are whats driving the change throughout the grocery chain to improve things, again, on a national scale. GostHacked Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 I don't see any differences. Your job could be performed by anyone. I disagree. One person who works there said he could do my job. I entertained the idea and asked what his qualifications would include. He said he worked a couple times on WIN XP. Obviously impressed, I promptly handed him my keys/badge that would give him access to everything including direct unhindered access to the servers that control production for the distribution center. He reached out to take it with his hand and said 'What do I do with these?' I slowly retracted my hand not giving up the keys/badge and said 'That is why I am the administrator.' Quote

Signals.Cpl Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 The only one who is ignorant about the job teachers to in schools is socialist... I wonder how long it will be before the real world smacks him in the face. He better be just a troll because if he believes half of the bullsh*t coming out of him then he has some serious hard times ahead of him. Quote Hope for the Best, Prepare for the Worst

madmax Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I will have no hard times. I graduate in April and will be teaching in public school after that. What is there to learn about this so -called "real" world you constantly yap about? You sound like an old koot who walked to school uphill both ways through 10 feet of snow. The so called 'Real World' is a term many University Students use to describe that they have spent their entire life within the educational institution, and have not experienced a life or lifestyle outside of this experience. Some students use this as a release of fear or stress or just a joke. Such as, When I Graduate and enter the Real World. That said, one would expect that anyone who goes from JK, to K, to Elemetary, to Highschool, to University, to teachers College , and back to one of the mentioned educational bodies above, has experienced a specialized and limited working environment. One could also make the suggestion that that experience is one not experienced by the vast majority of those who leave the confines of educational security. Why are you so rude to everyone? Quote
madmax Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Me too!!! My confidence has been crushed because I feel like I scored a zero! I may never be productive again! When one speaks logically and makes valid points, their is little to add or discuss. Consider it a complement. Quote
