Nope. CNN, Washington Post, and especially FactCheck.org all debunk the Boston Globe/Obama campaign. Just more swiftboating in an attempt to distract from real issues. Not suprising considering Obama's terrible record to run on. I'd probably be implementing the same strategy if I were him too. It's the only chance he has.

Looks like this post was DEAD WRONG! Eh Shady?

Looks like the Obama campaign is jumping all over this one.

“Governor Romney has stated flatly that he left Bain Capital in 1999, but an Associated Press report today makes clear he did not leave when he says he did. Not only did he remain CEO, President, and Chairman of the Board, but he continued to attend meetings with his partners. Additionally, he personally signed off on financial documents, including one for DDI, a company that went bankrupt and laid off workers after Bain loaded it up with debt. Mitt Romney’s explanations about his continued involvement at Bain have shifted all over the place. But what hasn’t changed is his unwillingness to take any responsibility for the American jobs that were outsourced and lost under his leadership, both before and after 1999.”

How so?

Considering the Washington times walked back their fact check, and the AP just jumped on board to say what the Globe was reporting is in fact correct. That would mean when you said they were wrong it was you who was falling for the Romney lies.

Omg! Several meetings? Then he must have been CEO!

Get your talking points straight. I don't think anyone is disputing he was the CEO at the time. He was. That's why he signed the SEC forms. The question is whether he was involved with the company or not.

Looks like even Republicans are getting into the game of calling Romney a liar. He better start telling the truth or else the he is going to be framed by the fact everything he says is a lie.

William Kristol, who has been more critical of the campaign Mitt Romney is waging of late after a pause, raises a flag on a report earlier this week that the GOP hopeful has told donors a story about President Reagan and his approach to anything other than the economy in his first 100 days in office, describing the WSJ-reported anecdote as a "false and foolish tale."

No, that's exactly what punked is asserting. So has the lying Obama campaign. Mainly to distract from his horrible record as president.

He may be asserting Romney was CEO at that time, but Romney isn't denying it either.

No, Romney has. But it's like I said many pages ago. It's a he said she said accusation. The only fact that exists is that the Obama campaign cannot prove its allegation. It's just a distraction away from Obama's terrible record as president.

What do you mean who he was? Private citizen Mitt Romney, organizer of the Salt Lake City olympics, member of the Bain board of directors.

I didn't say "who he was." I said, "who was?" as in "who was CEO if not Romney?" because Romney is the only one listed as CEO during that time.

I assume you're using remedial reading comprehension to distract from the fact you're wrong again.

The CEO after Romney is listed. Have you done any reading yourself? Anyways, like I said, this is all a distraction from Obamas terrible record as president. Are you one of the wingnuts claiming Romney comitted a felony?

The only one trying to distract , and for obvious reason, is you shady.

I have the lifejacket, shall I tossit your way? I can only see the top of your head now and that drowning is imminent.

DRIP DRIP DRIP. Another Romney lie exposed.

First the past statements from Romney

Romney to the New York Times:

ROMNEY: "We [Mitt & Netanyahu] can almost speak in shorthand. We share common experiences and have a perspective and underpinning which is similar."

In December GOP Debate regarding how America should handle Iran:

ROMNEY: "I'd get on the phone to my friend Bibi Netanyahu and say, 'Would it help if I said this? What would you like me to do."

In April 2012, Romney said:

ROMNEY: “Israel’s current prime minister is not just a friend, he’s an old friend”

And from Vanity Fair this month

“I remember him [Romney] for sure, but I don’t think we had any particular connections, I knew him and he knew me, I suppose.”

~Bibi Netanyahu, July 2012 in Vanity Fair Interview, (middle of Page 4)

DRIP DRIP DRIP. Shady thinks if he lies as much as Romney they will both be fine. No one wants to vote for who the biggest liar is. DRIP DRIP DRIP.

The CEO after Romney is listed.

Great. So who was the CEO between 1999 and 2002?

Right after Romney left it was the executive committee. There was no one person that was CEO.

Just so everyone knows Maddow and the Boston Globe have exposed more lies from the man who wants to be the liar and chief Mitt Romney. I will try to embed the video but it might not work. However here is the transcript. It is more lying and more lying about his taxes when running for Governor. It is the basic reason he had to declare he was still involved with Bain to get on the Ballot for Governor. Don't worry though he used his old "Mitt Romney I got caught doing something wrong time machine" to retroactively "fix" his lie.

Asked by The Boston Globe when he was running for Governor of Massachusetts, about why he listed himself as a Utah resident, and not a Massachusetts resident, on his taxes, Mr. Romney told The Globe ten years ago, just like he told ABC this week, that he would look into it. He would find out just exactly what was in his taxes and he would get back to them on it. Quoting from the The Globe, ...asked whether he received any advantages in Utah by filing as a full-time resident there in 1999 and 2000, Mr Romney said he was not sure but would respond to specific questions in writing. "If you want to say, 'was there any tax benefit anywhere,' you ought to help me understand exactly what that would mean, and I'd be happy to look at it," Romney said. "I will get precisely the answer that you'd like, but you have to tell me exactly what you want, and I'll make sure I get that for you." Still quoting from the The Globe here. But after a reporter submitted written questions to a campaign aide, Romney's spokesman, Eric Fehrnstrom, said that Romney would not be responding because "he values his privacy and his wife's privacy." [see TAX BENEFIT UNCLEAR AND CANDIDATE MUM (Pay-To-View]

What The Boston Globe was trying to get to there, ten years ago, was whether or not Mitt Romney was qualified to be the Governor of Massachusetts. Not in some abstract political sense, but literally qualified. Whether he met the written qualifications that you have to meet in order to be allowed to run for Governor of Massachusetts. Massachusetts has the oldest, functioning written constitution ... in the entire world. And dating back to the colonial era, the law in Massachusetts says that you have to be a continuous inhabitant of Massachusetts for the seven years immediately prior to your running for Governor, or you can not run for Governor.

In 2002 when Mitt Romney moved back to Massachusetts from Utah to run for Governor in Massachusetts, that residency requirement was really a big problem for him. He maintained publically until June of that year when he was running, that he had always paid taxes as a Massachusetts resident, so that residency requirement was going to be no problem.

Clearly he met the residency requirement, he'd been paying Massachusetts resident taxes. That's what he said all along, but that June, that year that he was running, June 2002, under pressure from the Democrats in the state and under scrutiny from the Boston press, that story fell apart because it turns out that he had not been paying taxes as a Massachusetts resident. Like he said he did. He had not been paying taxes as a Massachusetts resident, he had been paying taxes as a Utah resident.

Mr. Romney had said that wasn't the case, but he got caught. After he got caught, he admitted yeah, he'd been paying taxes as a Utah resident, BUT he was retroactively now, after the fact, now that he was running for Governor, now going back a few years that he was going to change that ... retroactively. [see Massachusetts Candidate Confirms Utah as Residence, The New York Times, June 7 2002]

More lies. All this man does is tell lies then tells more to try and cover them up.

I agree. All of Romney's lying, cheating, flip-flopping, off-shoring, and animal cruelty should be strictly out of bounds.
