September 11,2000: Rosh HaShanah I guess they care that there was a holiday on September 11, they just dont care that the holiday happened to be the year before. Rosh Hashanah was on Sept, 18th in 2001. In the year 2000 it was on Sept 30th. If 9-11 had happened in 1999...then it would have fallen on the 11th.
