August1991 Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Do posters here have a view? I'm curious. Bush and Kerry don't rely on one guy. But PM PM won because of Herle. Who is he? Who is Herle? I have tried to google Herle in various ways but no site is worth a link. I've never met Herle in person but I've heard him in interview. (IMV, he's partisan but lacks the charm of Carville. To Liberals, frankly and sad to say, Herle is no Davey.) Anyone else got an opinion? Quote
udawg Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Interesting, I had the converse view during the election, that it was Herle that nearly lost the election for PM PM, rather than the other way around. I don't know that much about him either, other than what I saw on an interview with Craig Oliver and later with a CBC reporter. Quote

idealisttotheend Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Good one MS. I read Juggernaught and it does paint a glowing picture of Team Martin though when I see Delancourt on panels she seems to be more objective. I would be suprised in Herle was around for the next election campaign. Quote All too often the prize goes, not to who best plays the game, but to those who make the rules....
maplesyrup Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 It is amazin' what loyalty brings someone in politics. All the Martin supporters who were loyal to him, no matter how badly they screw up, retain their power and influence. That guy from Quebec, what's his name, Jean Lapierre, I think, one of the BQ founders, is a good example. Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know.
