The U.S. Defense Department cannot account for about $2 billion it was given to cover Iraq-related expenses and is not providing Iraq with a complete list of U.S.-funded reconstruction projects, according to two new government audits.

So on top of pissing on dead enemies, humiliating and torturing prisoners in Abu Ghraib, hunting innocent civilians for "sport," and killing allies, it seems the United States military has also lost track of $2 Billion that was earmarked for reconstruction. There is clearly an issue with leadership in the US military that has created the environment for "poor record-keeping" and the undisciplined lawlessness that's happening out in the field.

I wonder if this is on top of the hundreds of millions unaccounted for. The USA could not track much of he money then. There have been several reports were at least 100 million , just vanished, and no efforts to find out how and where the money was lost.

Ah yes, many of us recall that statement good ol Rumsfeld said only a day before the worst terror attack on the USA.
