Bingo! Game...set..and match.

It's always easier to be a cheerleader and give the appearance of winning an argument than to actually have anything of value to say. Looks like we're done here, since you're not actually interested in the part of discussions called "listening".

...Americans retiring in Mexico to take advantage of their system. Hell. You've got a problem with Canadians being sent for care at American hospitals and going back home. Your citizens are actually moving out of the country to get better care. And to Mexico of all places where the facilities are in much poorer condition, as the article mentions.

You are ignoring one key difference....the US has no promise of universal health care access and delivery in the kind promised by Canadian politicians to get votes. Obama tried that and lost. Canada promises such access, but that actually translates into a longer wait or a trip out of country.

Where do the majority of pharmaceuticals come from? If you were an American as claimed, you would know about Medicare Part D.

Again more American money is spent on Canadian Healthcare every year then visa versa, more Americans use parts of our system. That is a fact. Sorry if it makes your horse just a little bit less high but that is that.

When it is life and death no one care where the closest medical provider is or what boarder you have to cross.

And I can't understand for the life of me why someone would be so lacking in compassion that they would make this an issue. I can't even talk rationally about it any longer.

We have Universal access if you got a problem it will get fixed. You want to close your medical facilities we will send the people we can't treat to Britain or Japan. It however does not make sense for our population to have specialist for disorders that only one person in Canada has. Them's the break.

I'm missing no such promise. You and American Woman made the claim that Americans do not rely on foreign healthcare. That's BS and you still won't own up to it.

No we didn't...we claimed that Canadian provinces so rely on foreign health care...big difference.

I agree...Canada lacks the resources to meet it's CHA mandated political pork. Have to rely on the evil American for profit system with excess capacity for Canadians of means or weary of waiting months for a simple MRI. Send us your poor...your sick...your preemies! And dem's da breaks.

I don't understand your point. There is no place in the whole wide world that is any different. It is easy to win an argument when you make the winning conditions for the other side impossible.

You and American Woman didn't claim that Americans don't rely on foreign healthcare? You're a liar and a troll:

I live just two hours drive from Canada, but it would be an absurd thought to go there for medical care.
Again, people who live in small towns along the northern and southern U.S. borders don't get sent to Mexico or Canada for health care that can't be provided here.
Many Canadians routinely know that America and other nations can provide health care services when their province comes up short. Americans do not routinely think of Canada in this way.

I don't know why I continue to humour a liar like you with responses.

The whole wide world doesn't promise "free" health care for all as political pork only to not deliver on a consistent basis. There are limits that political rhetoric even from the late great Jack Layton couldn't fix. They wrote checks with their mouths that Canada couldn't cash. But it doesn't suck just as long as WHO rankings are higher than the United States, right?

The promise has always bee free health insurance because the provinces wouldn't sign on otherwise.

Learn to read...it would be absurd for me to go to Canada for health care because I can drive to the Mayo Clinic in less than one hour. Duh!

Lots of Canadians go there too after getting fed up with long wait times or inadequate facilities.

I never claimed any such thing. I claimed our system doesn't rely on foreign health care - that our health care system doesn't send anyone away to another country because the U.S. lacks the facilities. That some Americans choose to go outside the country is a different matter entirely. I clearly stated that I am not referring to Canadians who choose to come to the U.S. for care, but to those who are sent here due to lack of care/facilities in Canada.

Right...which get's this topic back on track. Health care was politicized for party votes and gains. Then the realities of costs reared their ugly head, and continue to do so even after severe cuts to balance the federal budget in the 1990's.

So now you have a broke dick system that can't be changed because it is now an electrified rail that dare not be touched. Best just to keep comparing world rankings to the evil US "for profit system" and hope the voters keep accepting it.

Yes..this point was made very clear expressly because of the difference. Somebody chose to ignore it!

Our system might not be perfect but it sure aint broke.

It will be literally "broke" based on current cost projections, same as the US Medicare/Medicaid system, which is also "yours" if you are an American as claimed.

Which is really defining the argument because many Americans come to Canada for healthcare because they do not have the funds for ACCESS the wonderful American system. Explains why many Americans cross the boarder each year to buy drugs to keep them Alive.

Again when we talk numbers MORE Americans use and get more out of our system then we do theirs.
