WWWTT Posted March 26, 2011 Author Report Posted March 26, 2011 Duceppe has come out this morning saying that Harper is a liar in regards to how Harper has tried to sidestep being involved in a coalition attempt during 2004. This sounds like its going to be a very volatile campaign and the televised debates are going to have a lot of fireworks. I am completely convinced now that a conservative minority = left wing coalition. It is clear to me now that Harper did in fact want to avoid this election and for good reason too! capricorn Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 If the Liberals can find a way to frame those scandals into soundbytes during the campaign, they certainly will begin to resonate. As they should. You may be right and I'm not saying it can't be done. But soundbytes will come from direct contact and interaction with the electorate. I'm thinking Canadians the Liberals encounter might be more interested in addressing issues that touch them directly, like health, like pensions, like jobs, like the cost of living, etc. Crafting a stump speech around scandals while still addressing more mainstream concerns could prove a difficult task but by no means impossible. We'll see. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers
