Smallc Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 I don't think a man who despises our institutions as much as Harper does really should be given unfettered access to power. Well, he doesn't hate all of the institutions (the Crown, for example), and I don't really think he would make much in the way of change if he was the one calling the shots, with the institutions working pretty much completely in his favour. He certainly despises Parliament, and Parliament is his boss. I won't vote for a man who doesn't stand by our constitution. He is not worthy of my vote. Quote
Saipan Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 It would beat Liberal majority by far. Quote

He is not worthy of my vote. Well, the thing about that is...I dislike his less than the rest. This isn't a case like Paul Martin, where I was completely supportive. This is Harper....and, even if he's hard to like, he's better than the alternative. Quote

There is something about our electoral system that turns control freaks into long term leaders. Quote

The only good Harper has done, from a democratic level, is to force the Speaker to produce some key rulings that will influence not just future Canadian parliaments, but indeed parliaments the Commonwealth over. I still won't vote for Harper, just like I didn't vote for Chretien. Quote

ToadBrother Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 I would not vote for him if he was in my riding. I wouldn't either. Apart from his politics, I find the man intensely annoying. Quote
