Can OpenParliament.ca info. be trusted?

First, allow me to say that I think the web site OpenParliament.ca is a great resource, however, a recent experience has me questioning how reliable the information on this site is.

I use the site to follow media coverage of my local MP, Patrick Brown. Recently the site posted links to three articles about a group of lawyers offering to represent injured veterans at no cost. One of the lawyers mentioned in the articles is named Patrick Brown. These links were posted on the OpenParliament.ca page for Barrie MP Patrick Brown. While the Barrie MP is a non-practicing lawyer, he is not the lawyer referred to in the articles.

I sent an email to the site's owner, but have received no response and the articles remain on the OpenParliament.ca page for the Barrie MP.

Trusted as to?

Do your own research.

Anything you can't verify yourself is secondary sourced information and unverified except to the extent of your trust in the person supplying the information, and how they express their sources, and establish their level of trust in those sources and so on.

Even your own information must be scrutinized if it matters because even individuals can be victims of false flag operations, misrepresentation, obstruction, and lies. Clandestine and distruption operations against individuals are not beyond posibility at all levels of soceity.

From his website though.. the guy appears to have worked in the US.. not sure if he is american or a dual citizen..

"recently moved to Montreal after a long stint in New York"

One globe and mail article describes him as "an ordinary Canadian "

http://twitter.com/rhymeswithcycle

this is an ascribed twitter account.

He is stated as growing up in Victoria (victoria BC??)

attended laval at some point..

and went to columbia for computer science and linguistics

there are a bunch of other links.. none of the information is verifiable.

here is his google profile

http://www.google.com/profiles/mmulley

still doesn't say where he was born, or his citizenship.

In this french article it says he worked 6 years in new york (I'm not sure if this is concurrent to his time at columbia (that might add a few more years)

It looks like OpenParliament has decided that my MP is the American chairman of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission:

Mentioned by Welland Tribune U.S funding crucial for Queeston-Lewiston Bridge improvements Patrick Brown, chairman of the NFBC, said it's crucial for the economies of both countries that cars, trucks and buses move across the border as quickly and ...

From the Niagara Fall's Bridge Commission's web site:

American Commissioners are appointed by the Governor of the State of New York

Patrick D. Brown, Chairperson

Thomas G. Pryce

Linda M. DiPasquale
