Here's to progress. We might get there one day, baby. Isn't Libya now in charge of such things? What are they doing for the festivities? That's the same as if an airplane full of children crashed every 16 minutes, killing everyone onboard." - Aug. 2005 edition of 'Warcry', official magazine of the Salvation Army About 100 kids dead in care of Ontario CAS each year. Moonlight Graham Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 About 100 kids dead in care of Ontario CAS each year. Probably because they OD on the crack habit that their idiotic parents introduced them to, which was the reason CAS took them away in the first place. Or maybe it's because the kids commit suicide because of the nightmares of the horrors of abuse and neglect that their parents put them through growing up before they were taken away? Let me guess, CAS has f'ed with ya & you have a chapped bum? In my experience with them, they usually have very good reason to intervene. Virtually all parents who've had CAS on their tail despise CAS, and i suppose i would too if they threatened or succeeded in taking away my child or otherwise intervened in my family affairs. But usually very few of these parents admit that they had it coming. Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
Bonam Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Thoughts to the millions around the world who are denied their basic human rights within this largely BS of an entity we call human "civilization". Considering how the definition of "basic human rights" keep expanding endlessly, it is unsurprising that many people are "denied" (that is fail to achieve) these "rights". I find it hilarious that people would define "food" as a right. Who grows that food, and what rights do they have? Sure, there are some genuine human rights violations here and there, genocides and such, but the term "human rights" and the violations thereof have completely lost all meaning. In Europe, your basic human rights are considered violated if you don't get to go on an expensive far-away vacation. Hilarious. Edited December 12, 2010 by Bonam Quote

I find it hilarious that people would define "food" as a right. Who grows that food, and what rights do they have? I would think there's a big difference in being denied a right and failing to achieve it. Human rights are of course all relative, and the concept is a bit frustrating because of this.
