maplesyrup Posted June 11, 2004 Author Report Posted June 11, 2004 Election debate unlikely to sway voters, analyst says The party leaders can huff and puff as much as they'd like during next week's election debates but they're not likely to blow away voters, says one political scientist. Most debates “tend to reinforce people's existing biases and prejudices,” University of Toronto political science professor Nelson Wiseman said, adding that some voters may swing from their own position to a more neutral one, or from an undecided position into one of the camps.
