Topaz Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Since October is the month this year for municipal elections , do you think MP's should get involved inthem? There's no rules that says they can't but what messages are they sending by doing so. The following article tells of one Tory MP that has. http://www.windsorstar.com/news/Tory+accused+meddling+Essex+County+election+races/3640572/story.html Quote

Topaz Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 In this thread, Topaz questions whether freedom of expression and association should be permitted. That's YOUR view and you are welcome to it but it not what I'm asking. Quote
ToadBrother Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 That's YOUR view and you are welcome to it but it not what I'm asking. Is there some particular reason that MPs shouldn't get involved in municipal elections, or that that involvement should somehow be limited? We're talking about two levels of government pretty far removed, and certainly MPs are a rather important fixture of the community. To me it seems like asking "Should pharmacists get involved in municipal elections?" Quote
