Environment or economic opportunity - What should come first? I'm not a free trade buff - but when it comes to something like this I think speed of development should trump all other issues. Quote

Protectionist policies... ok... well how about if we put in a clause saying that any country that has a minimum standard for environmental protection can be part of this ? What if we put carbon counts into the equation ? I mean, how much sense does it make for us to contract out environmental protection to China ?
