M.Dancer Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Israel supports a sovereign Palestine as long as they don't have a military or properly equipped police force to deal with the terrorist element. We essentially have two sides that don't want compromise, and do not want to work together. The only solution for each side is to drive the other out of existence. False. Article Article VIII of the Oslo accords has provisions for a police force. What the palestinians need are ethics and professionalism, what they want are artillery rockets. GostHacked Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 False. Article Article VIII of the Oslo accords has provisions for a police force. What the palestinians need are ethics and professionalism, what they want are artillery rockets. Hard to have ethics and professionalism come to the forefront because of the desperation within the occupied territories due to a blockade and so many non lethal items being banned from entering into the territories. Sure the palestinians have not helped their cause, but this has been going on for decades and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. The current trend is that Israel will take all the land and declare it as her own. In time I believe that will happen. There really is no viable two state solution anymore. It's a pessimistic view, but it's been going on for decades and the hate runs centuries deep. Quote

Thier lack of the above has nothing to do with the blockade. It is cultural. The same want is found in every Arab nation. Seriously...have you in your life ever heard someone say, "As honest as a Syrian Policeman"? They can barely be trusted to police their own citizens with the normal police tools (in their case, AK 47s)...allowing them modern ffensive weapons is a non starter. M.Dancer Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. No kidding... THERE IS no doubt in the minds of most Arabs that corruption is rife. More than 90% of participants in a survey for the Arab Human Development Report (2004) believed it to be pervasive. Though the survey covered only five countries – Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Palestine – “it is not expected to be less widespread in those countries that were not part of the survey,” the report said. It noted that in the countries surveyed “politicians, businessmen and high-ranking officials head the list in the spread of corruption”, while corruption is also considered prevalent among the judiciary and in social relations. In another survey, conducted in Lebanon, 74% of Lebanese felt that “bribery is necessary to secure a contract from any public institution” and a quarter of those questioned believed that “all Lebanese politicians are corrupt”. http://www.al-bab.com/arab/background/corruption.htm It gets worse Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

The same want is found in every Arab nation. Seriously...have you in your life ever heard someone say, "As honest as a Syrian Policeman"? yes of course. because we have such a close cultural tie to syria, so one wonders why we don't hear that. what about: 'as honest as dancer, the mapleleafs forum arab cultural expert'? or 'as honest as a jew'? or 'as honest as a black policeman'? you have a such a way with convincing yourself of things. They can barely be trusted to police their own citizens with the normal police tools (in their case, AK 47s)...allowing them modern ffensive weapons is a non starter. since dancer has deemed palestinians ineffective in policing themselves, then it's best that they're occupied by the ever so honest and effective israeli police. jbg Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Jerusalem is our city, and we're not going to be bullied into strangling its needs to order to appease our enemies.I totally agree. The Arabs could have sued for peace in 1967 and chose not to. They deserve almost any conceivable fate that awaits them. They started three wars and endless terrorism. Israel should finish it.It can be done, it should be done, it must be done. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location?
