Pliny
Obama has wanted to portray himself as the great "uniter", a non-partisan player. How true is that? Every time the Republican party has offered input to the various bills that have been rammed through, and the Democrats don't need the Republicans at all if they can get their fellow representatives to toe the party line, their offerings have been refused. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid machine has, rather than take any input from the Republicans, haggled, bought and threatened their fellow Democrats to vote with the party. So, who is the party of "No" really? The label has been assigned pejoratively to the GOP to foster the perception as a non-progressive, negative ninnie party that offers nothing but whining. They refuse to negotiate with Republicans or legitimately consider their input and won't accept a contrary view from within their ranks. It is a long held maxim that of which you accuse others of you yourself are guilty. It holds true under this scenario. The Democrats are actually the party of "No". It's our way or the highway! Hopefully the Republicans will continue to say no to Obama, his policies and objectives have not been in the majority public interest socially and economically has proven, in the least, ineffectual. What a pity they hadn't been the part of "No" when they were in control.
