Bob Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 He narrates his own audiobooks. He's definitely got a knack for observing various phenomenons within our society and offering some interesting (and sometimes obvious) observations. He also has a knack for systematizing these things in relatively easy-to-digest ways. His books are nice easy reads. Anyone interested in listening to his audiobooks: The Tipping Points, Outliers, or Blink? Send me a PM. Quote My blog - bobinisrael.blogspot.com - I am writing on it, again!
BubberMiley Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 It's true what he said about january babies and tier hockey. There are always fewer players born in December in the NHL. Though Barnsley and Thompson said it first. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Bob Posted June 19, 2010 Author Report Posted June 19, 2010 It's true what he said about january babies and tier hockey. There are always fewer players born in December in the NHL. Though Barnsley and Thompson said it first. Yeah, I found that anecdote very interesting! I also get the impression that Malcolm "lifts" a lot of his material, but he does give a lot of credit to others in his books. Have you read the three books I mentioned above? It's great that Gladwell's Canadian, too. Here's some cool video with him at the 92nd street Y in NYC: Associated videos on the right side of the page also have a few long interviews with Gladwell. I like the guy. Quote My blog - bobinisrael.blogspot.com - I am writing on it, again!
Michael Hardner Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Strangely, I just picked up `The Tipping Point` at a garage sale not 1 hour ago... Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner
bloodyminded Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 I've never read him, but I plan to, after seeing him in interviews. Interesting guy. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
