punked Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 An elected Republican official who is on the energy committee thinks setting 20 billion aside for those who will suffer the fall out is a "tragedy". Republicans still have it dead wrong. Say what you want about Democrats this is wrong. He Apologizes to BP for the WH making them pay for what they did wrong. Quote
BubberMiley Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 The Republicans chances of retaking anything this fall are getting bleaker and bleaker. Didn't the woman running against Harry Reid advocate using "second amendment rights" to get rid of him if she fails to defeat him. It's like they don't even want power until the mess they created improves even further. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Guest American Woman Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 (edited) He's now apologized for apologizing: Who's sorry now? Rep. Joe Barton, that's who. The Texas Republican, the House's top recipient of oil industry campaign contributions since 1990, apologized Thursday for apologizing to the chief of the British company that befouled the Gulf of Mexico with a massive oil spill. link Evidently a lot of Republicans didn't care for his apology to BP as it took the focus of criticism off of BP and put it onto the GOP.
