jbg Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Oh sure, obviously I haven't looked into the matter sufficiently to simply shut down any arguments. And this argument relates to Harper-hatred how? Is Harper a partner in a same-sex parenthood pair? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
bloodyminded Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 And this argument relates to Harper-hatred how? Is Harper a partner in a same-sex parenthood pair? Well, this little sidetrack of Wild Bill and myself wasn't so much about same sex marriage. But you're right that it is a sidetrack. MysTerri Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) I think it's jealousy. Hate? What's to hate? I do not trust politicians. Until laws are changed that stops the conflict of interest "lobbyists" from donating money (bribes) to politicians who then ignore their electorate, all politicians are out for themselves only. They are even considering letting the corporate "PERSONS" have a vote! That is proof enough for me that politicians have lost touch with what really matters, the electorate. There is not one honest politician (or lawyer for that matter) who will take the dirty rotten, Earth polluting, resource gulping, wage-freezing, greedy corporate persons to task for their crimes against the electorate. Only then we will see someone who deserves LOVE. Show it & you get it. The only time I've heard that recently was in BC as an item for consideration over amendments to the Municipal Act, and it was rejected. Apparently the only place they could find where businesses got the vote in the entire Western world was in downtown London, mainly because almost nobody lives there. Quote
