jdobbin Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 http://www.pm.gc.ca/eng/media.asp?category=1&id=2521 “With a central geographic location and skilled workforce, Winnipeg is well placed to be a major trading centre for decades to come,” said Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was joined by Manitoba Premier Gary Doer at the announcement. “This building project will help create jobs today, while ensuring that Manitobans can take full advantages of these opportunities and create even more jobs for the future.” The Feds are paying $100 million for this trade port at Winnipeg International. I swear that Premier Doer is able to play Jedi mind tricks on Harper because he seems to be able to get any money he wants out of the man. Quote

Smallc Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 I think it's safe to assume that it's been decided that Winnipeg is to be the port. Quote
