Alta4ever Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 I have a bag of names...one dollar an insult..how many do you want? I could probably take the whole bag. capricorn Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Actually, according to the poll, though the Cons are slipping a bit, they are pretty much the same as they were after the election. Ignatieff did start to turn things around almost overnight, remember? Poll puts Tories at 35% nationally, Liberals at 31% with two federal parties virtually tied in Ontario. http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/603368 Ignatieff can't seem to be able to move the Liberals above the low 30s in support. Normally in tough economic times the ruling party's popularity tanks. It hasn't happened. He could be in opposition right now where he excels; You're quite right. The country could use a strong opposition right now like Harper provided in opposition. Ignatieff could learn a few things from him in how to hold government to account. All we're getting from Ignatieff is a nod to everything the Conservatives do. Blustering, issuing probation and report cards don't fool anybody. Except you, of course. He gets to wear the economy now. Not according to the polls. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers

Moonbox Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Thank you. Just posting a recent poll that's in the news and presenting my view of what it means. Sitting in a wheelchair all day does afford me a wonderful lifestyle. You should be so lucky. If taken on its own merits, the post is not worth much comment. Polls mean practically nothing unless you're approaching an election. Ask Joe Clark. Because we have a new "Ignatieff is the messiah" post coming from you almost hourly and because of how blind and CONSTANT/ENDLESS your nattering about him is, I feel compelled to match that with a heavy dose of sarcasm/derision. Regardless of your lifestyle, which I'll agree is none of my business, I'm still amazed by your endurance. You're every bit the match of Mr. Canada disregarding his completely opposite (but similarly silly/biased) positions on virtually everthing political.
