madmax Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 madmax,I disagree. Right out of the gate, the new NDP leader is talking about big labour initiatives that don't matter to the majority of the province, and probably won't work for the ones that do. My first impression is that we have a new young leader with not much innovation to offer. I have been doing some reading and your assessment is similar to the majority of newspaper chains and commentators in Ontario. What I think is possible, is she has some time to put chinks in McGuintys armour. He looked weak in responding to her first question and she looked confident. I don't know what "big labour" initiatives you are talking about... you'd have to explain them to me. (Perhaps it doesn't matter, guess I am the majority) I haven't noticed any "innovation", but there is a vacant lot in the McGuinty government. They don't have any innovation either. Infact, few people know what they are doing, but handing over $150Million to US steel with no strings attached is one thing, but to answer a question that HE IS GOING TO GIVE MORE MONEY to Large Corporations such as GM, without any guarrantees is the thing that Most Ontarians are going to have a shit fit over. How many times can this clown keep opening the till and walk away. No ones been effective in pointing this shit out. Of course I know this from my background, but Joe Public is just now finding out, how much we have been handing over to the Billionaires Boys Club and we are going to keep handing it over as long as they ask. Now, she has gotten that message out, and that is the coffee shop talk in my neck of the woods. In the meantime, until the PCs choose an new leader, they will be virtually silent for the better part of this year. Thus the only one with any potential to demonstrate how ineffectual and rather useless this group of Liberals is , is the NDP and Andrea. Most people like Liberals. It is easy to like Parties that cause no fuss, don't do much, and hand out money with every press conference and photo op. Do I expect major changes from the NDP? Not necessarily, since they are pretty much the way they were in the CCF days. Quote
M.Dancer Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Wow..big labour ..she looks like she could be big labour all on her own. Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
Mr. Whiteman Esq. Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 Well, it's not like the NDP was going to become a serious political force in the province any time soon anyway, so... Quote
enviralment Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Its going to be a while for the NDP to become a viable force in Ontario politics. Its good to get new blood and a new direction for the party though. Nopw it be nice if any of the opposition parties would start taking the Libs to talk on this abomination of an energy plan!!!! Quote I support a pragmatic approach to our energy mix. Include Nuclear and support Canadian technology!
Radsickle Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Wow..big labour ..she looks like she could be big labour all on her own. Baboon needs to poke fun at the visuals cause there's not much else going on in that monkey brain. Quote
