This article presents the pros and cons: Multiculturalism in Canada Multiculturalism is generally a good thing.. As long as you remain loyal to Canada and abide by our laws, I don't see a problem with it. This is a nation where people are truly minding their own businesses - that makes us more libertarian than most countries. If you are an immigrant, you could consider yourself a pure Canadian or an Arab-Canadian, I could really care less - just don't disturb the peace. Do we really need a monogamous supreme culture? The social contract is fulfilled, all of our citizens have stripped away some of their natural rights in order to live in our society. And you know what? We are relatively living in peace. Perhaps our identity lies within our ability to strive without an "identity" per se.
