Drea Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 How about a tax credit for kids in chess clubs? Or debating clubs? Or science clubs? My son is thin and an academic. Doesn't give a rats ass about frivilous sports -- science and math are his choice of "fun" so why is there no tax incentive for brains? Wouldn't that encourage parents to enroll their kids in activities that work the brain? Not all people are hugely fat and need to diet and excercise. It is proven fact that the releasing of endorphines or dopamine through physical activity a few times a week can actually increase brain activity...or something like that.
