Mr.Canada Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) Yes I would love the passage because it does not exist. I'm not going to cut and paste everything. It's a well known fact that homosexuality is against Christianity. Here is the Catholic take on homosexuality and passages are listed here as well. There is a quote, but its from the Pentatch (sp?) the Bible's first 5 books...and MC has already said his faith isn't guided by Mosaic Law. Quote You're welcome to visit my blog: Canadian Soapbox

HAHAHAHAHA all those are from the first five books of the bible is that why you didn't want to post them? Unless you take the 1 Cor. 6:9–10 NIV in which the word Homosexual was added in 1949. This is your Jesus 1949? Thanks for proving you have never read the bible again. You lose. Quote

That is my point you would let cattle graze side by side but no gays get married? Why? I was pointing out the firs 5 books is the only place where we find opposition to gays. So if are to let your cattle graze with other cattle you better let gays get married. Your just mad that an Antithesis has read the bible and you haven't. Edited January 4, 2009 by punked Quote

Gays can get married all they want, they just can't do it in a Catholic Church or call themselves Catholic. I don't care what they do far away from me as long as their lifestyle doesn't come near mine. Actually...who would be better qualified to judge who's Christian or not? An atheist or agnostic would probably the best judge. Many of the protestant evangelical ilk paint Roman Catholics as non-Christians because they pray to saints and make graven images of them. Some Catholics say the same of protestants, based on their view that when Rome took Christianity over around 300AD that it became God's one and only "true" church. Oleg Bach Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Where did I say that my faith was guided by the first 5 books only? I didn't. You seem to think that if my faith isn't run by the first 5 books only I'm not a Christian. First he is and then he's not. "Only I'm not a Christian." - Put that confusion aside for a moment..You should be concentrating on family values - good old fashioned tribalism - that all the secularists hate - because they do not want you to have a support system - With family you will not bow to big brother as expected - but without - you are on your own...a common victim. What Christianity stated originally - was THIS IS MY HOME - MY NATION (FAMILY) - MY LIFE AND I DO NOT BOW TO ROME (THE STATE). When Christ said give what is due to the state - and give what is due to God. Seeing every thing is due to God because it owns all - then in reality nothing belongs to the state including you - and if you give tax to the state it is for two reasons...one - voluntarily...and two - to avoid harrassement by big brother. Christianity is personal independence..that's it ...the smoke an mirrors stuff is not the work of God - but of state sponsored religion - that is a lie. Quote

And they claim Peter as their first bishop even though he's been dead almost 300 years??? No wonder so many people think religion is screwed. Quote You're welcome to visit my blog: Canadian Soapbox

fellowtraveller Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Thankfully the Religious Right in Canada aswell as the US aren't as strong as they once were. I'm sure as long as they keep electing old white males in Canada, the RR will be happy.Once a non-white comes in and contests in the Conservative caucus, I'm sure all sorts of questions will start popping up. The politicians NEED the moderates to win and good luck getting them with a fundaMENTAList hypocrisy of electing anyone that praises Jesus and gets dumbed down populace's votes. Preston Manning and Stockwell Day are prime examples. Two word answer: Rahim Jaffer. He has brown skin. He is Muslim. He is young and handsome. He won four elections as a Tory. He is from Alberta. Sucks to have him violate all your stereotypes, eh? Quote The government should do something.
