capricorn Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 The Bloc has never been a member of a government forming coalition with the Conservatives. I don't see your parallel. When the Bloc votes with the Conservatives, that's a coalition dontcha know? Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers
cybercoma Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 And they won't be now. They have simply agreed to support the coalition on confidence measures. Then the coalition does not have enough seats to form the government. Quote
Smallc Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Then the coalition does not have enough seats to form the government. You don't need to have the largest number of seats to form government. You simply need to have the confidence of the house. Quote

Smallc Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Do you think Canadians will stand for that framed that way? At the time, that's somewhat irrelevant. Canadians have already spoken through the election of a minority parliament. This was always a possible, if not anticipated, result. Quote
