I happened to believe the Green shift was a good way to price carbon. I think the tax cuts should been twice what they were though.

A good loyal Liberal going down with the captain of the ship. Aye Aye Mate. I still have one life raft left for you come Monday.

Lastly on Rae, I don't think it is beyond comprehension for a deal to be made ala Blair and Brown. It brings peace, it sets up succession and it creates a united front. I just don't think that Rae will go first.

Nope. Nor is the party that stupid to take him on for anything other then a Platform Monkey. Good guy to joust with, but he is losing his effect.

LPC is going to have to dig deeper then Rae. Alot deeper, or be prepared to jump into a hole deeper then the one Dion Dug.

I don't think the Liberals will even mention the emissions as election fodder again. That will be up to the other parties.

We'll have to see. As I said, he has a lot of negatives but then so did quite a few others. I don't believe he will be leader but he is probably going to be an effective cabinet minister.

How so? Policy-wise? Leadership-wise? I figured the Liberals were doomed to extinction at the beginning of the campaign based on a lot of the factor I have listed numerous times. In the end, they are still Official Opposition and there is no minority. They are left with a base with which to build on which I didn't expect them to have at the end of the election.

You think that if the party elects a more dynamic leader, it has absolutely no chance? It is headed for extinction? Is that because you think the party will go bankrupt? That it can't revitalize the organization? That it won't change policies? What exactly makes you think that it will eventually come down to Conservatives and parties other than the Liberals?

I understand that truth is tough to take. Don't fret.

Since I am able to support any party provided it has a good idea and because of the fact that I am able to be nonpartisan, I don't consider what you say to be the truth, but rather Conservative talking points.

My view is, Liberal party has no future. Not in the current situation with the potential candidates. too many skeletons in the closet, too many bad memories, no visionary leaders with charisma. They should go the way of the PC party.
