Ralph Nader Enters Us Presidential Race

Recommended Posts

Ralph Nader announced today that he was entering the US 2004 race for president.

Democrats will be most upset because they already blame him for their loss in 2000.

I too want George Bush out of the White House but not if he is going to be replaced by same old, same old.

The problem with the Democrats is that basically there is no difference them and the Republicans.

Nader is running because there is too much power and wealth in too few hands.

The Democrats are not adequately addressing this fundamental issue, the most important issue of the campaign.

In 2000 Nader ran as a Green candidate and garnered 2.3% of the vote.

This time around he is running as an Independent and I expect he will obtain 5% of the total vote.

Good on you Ralph Nader.

Perhaps after they lose this time the Demaocrats might take a serious look at the huge gap between the rich and the poor. Although I doubt it.

Ralph gets my vote. B)

In the first poll since John Kerry captured the democratic nomination for the 2004 US presidential campaign, Bush & Kerry are tied at 46 & 45 percent each, while Nader has 6% taking support from both the Dems & Repubs.

This is very interesesting that Nader is already at 6%.

Nader might have more room to grow here as a lot of voters do not see any significant differences between the Dems & Repubs.

This is a great beginning for Nader and it going to set tongues wagging in both opposition camps.

Many democrats/green party members that voted for him in the last election will not risk letting Bush in office again. To them any democrat is better then George Bush. John Kerry is now the presidential nominee. I believe that everyone who hates Bush will come together under one party, which would have to be the Democrats, along with Green party members and defeat him.

John Kerry!! (I want to vote  )

I cant see Nader dropping out.

Maybe he has more frustration with Democrats than the Republicans because the Democrats should at least know better.

For the progressive forces in America it will get quite discouraging as Bush has oodles of moola to spend, even though his ads that started yesterday will probably have to be withdrawn because of the complaints from the families and friends of people who perished in 9/11.

No conservative in their right mind would vote for Nader. He's viewed on the right as an even bigger clown than the Democratic contenders. Nader pulls votes strickly from the Democrats. At the very most, conservatives who are frustrated with Bush will abstain, but will never cast their vote for either Nadar nor the Democratic nominee.

Nader is a non factor. Democrats should not pay any attention to him. If they attempt to pander to the Nader crowd, they risk alientating the moderates that are considering Kerry - and send them into the arms of the Repugs. Nader doesn't draw support from either party...he brings his own supporters to the polls who vote for him. Otherwise, they do not vote at all.
