WarBicycle Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 ... Most important, nine of the ten most senior men involved, were captured, and interrogated. This led to locating more al Qaeda staff, and assets. Hundreds of weapons and explosives caches have been discovered this year, as a result of interrogating captured terrorists....Source I read the other day that al-Qaeda in Afghanistan has run out of Arab fighters, they've either been killed or ran away. Peter F Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 I read the other day that al-Qaeda in Afghanistan has run out of Arab fighters, they've either been killed or ran away. and I read the other day that the moon landings were faked. Hey, if I read it it must be true. Regarding "Waterboarding Works" I see no reference in the linked article to waterboarding at all. Perhaps you think all interrogations include waterboarding? If so what would lead you to that conclusion. Here's a link saying that what you are saying is wrong; Waterboarding doesn't work Mr Nance, who is now an independent consultant, said the technique was also futile, as well as barbaric, as the prisoner would say anything to survive – regardless of its truth. Interesting contradiction...Waterboarding works because a posted link says nothing about waterboarding and...waterboarding doesn't work because a posted link says waterboarding doesn't work. However will our brains wrap themselves around the dichotomy??? As for the articles contention that the 'good news' about the war on terror being won is not reported in the press: I call bullshit. I hear every day that the WoT is being won. Quote A bayonet is a tool with a worker at both ends
myata Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Sure works, only on the likes of Messrs Bicycles. In the heat of the chase, without noticing it (or maybe, all too willingly?) they're becoming every bit alike their arch enemies. See, cheering for the torture, already; at this pace, I wouldn't be stretching it too far to expect calls for public prosecutions (or executions?) of convicted (or perhaps suspected?) culprits, in some historically near future (which, somehow, would strangely resemble less than glorious past??)... FTA Lawyer Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Flying hijacked airplanes into large office towers also "works" for it's intended purpose. Here's hoping whether or not something "works" does not become the sole determining factor for it's inclusion in the fabric of a free and democratic society. FTA Quote
