RCMP raids Tory party headquarters

Recommended Posts

BTW, you'll notice that the Elections Canada has not obtained a search warrant or investigated any other party. Have you ever wondered why?

Because they fallowed the law as elections Canada understood it instead of making their own rules cause they didn't want to fallow the real rules.

If Harper goes out and kills someone should the RCMP investigate Dion just becuase that would be fair? See how dumb that spin is?

Yeap you're right. Dion is the best political leader in the free world he should be voted PM for life.

I like Jack Layton personally why would I vote for the Liberals who are a weak party and crooks, or he Conservatives who are also crooks and bought an election? Question why do you vote for crooks?

Jack Layton is the best leader in the free world and will win 4 or 5 consecutive majorities.

Charged with offences? We are far, far from that stage now.

Meanwhile, if there are charges being laid, it is senior Liberal Party activists who are being charged, being convicted and are going to jail.

Yes, I know Adscam!

If Tories are charged under this, I'm sure the right wing will be gobsmacked.

Dobbin, the Liberal Party stole money from taxpayers. They almost got away with it because the Liberal Party knows how to keep all the so-called watchdogs happy with the occasional bone.

This dispute between Elections Canada and the Tories is entirely different. This is an Ottawa bureaucracy that is playing politics. It's called a turf war. Specifically, Elections Canada believes that it has the power to decide what politicians can and cannot do during elections. Stephen Harper has always contested this. The two are fighting this out in the only way Ottawa bureaucrats know.

The right wing says this is a dispute. Elections Canada believes it is a violation of the law.

Harper is smart because he's backing away and taking the high ground. He's going over their heads and reminding Canadians that the Conservative Party has always followed the law as it is understood. Frankly, the whole thing is stupid and there's a good chance it will disappear from the headlines in a week or so. It's hardly a new story.

Paul Martin did the high minded thing and called an inquiry. Didn't work out for him. Harper might find that people are disappointed that Harper is less than transparent and uses the argument that everyone else violates the rules doesn't cut it, especially when the Tories are the only ones getting raided.

Because they didn't violate the rules? Ever considered that?

Can I sell you some nice oceanfront property in Saskatchewan? It is perfect for the spring seal hunts, and whale watching.

Hmmm.... Maybe they didn't break the election spending rules?

Oh wait! I know, I know. They are secretly working for all of the other parties and are trying to help them defeat the CPC in the next election. Your tinfoil hat is in the mail.

Yeah vote for the Liberals. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll create some more boondoogles like the Gun registry and if we're really lucky they steal our money to fill their own coffers and those of their ilk...oh wait they already did those things? Well, we're Canadian and entitled to our entitlements aren't we. We get the government we deserve.

Yes more Rae Days. I want Canada to really turn into a third world cesspool. Then Canada can look like some sh thiole that those immigrants came from. We'd really be making strides towards multiculturalism. Making them feel at home. That's our goal as Canadians. To make ourselves feel guilty and make immigrants feel good....makes ense to me lets all vote Liberal or NDP next election.

I cannot wait for the Liberals to come back to power for one. I'll be selling my home, taking my money and moving elsewhere. I don't want to stick around to see the craphole they are turning Canada into. I'll be going someplace that European descent people are respected, not made to feel guilty for who they are. Disgusting.

I wonder if Richard Warman and his thought police gestapo will come after me?

You voted for Jack Layton? He who along with Olivia,, lived in subsidized housing whilst making 6 figures a year?

He is the shining beacon of light in your moral outrage?

LOL!!

awesome!

personally, I think you just like his mustache.

Subsidized housing works this way, a percentage pay the full price for it and a percentage get it subsidized. That makes it workable. Layton paid full price for his as has been said many times on the internet.

So he is taking a spot that could be used by a family in need all to be political and partisan.

What a typical conservative rant, reminds me of the old Scottish grace, God bless me and my wife my son john and his wife, us four no more. It always fascinated me in my long life to observe the rabid NDPer who benefited by the Socialist policies of this country and became rabid Conservatives.

Boy what a fun forum that one is... Pretty exciting when everyone is standing around agreeing with each other. I see there's paranoia in spades over there too. Do you guys get scared when you are outside alone?

Vote for the NDP or Liberals so we can turn Canada into a real third world cess pool. I cannot wait until they come into power so I can get the hell out of this country. It's going down hill fast.

Hehe Conservatives are out numbered on this forum by about 10-1 at least. Keep going with your stupid non arguments. Learn how to comment properly then come back and respond to me.

I don't know. Do you have an answer or is this the attack that I have predicted on the judiciary?

No, an attack on EC for shopping around for a Liberal judge, and a possible relocation of a court, to a more Liberally sympathetic area.

It has also been stated on various news channels and by people who have seen such things, that the parties have done the same thing, even Dion himself.

The party's position is still that the source of the funds didn't matter, everything was done above board and completely in accordance with the rules. Elections Canada is now disagreeing, but they seem to have a biased

stake in this matter. The courts will decide based on evidence, and more knowledge of the matter than we do. For the most part this is all spin by yourself and others of the same ilk.

Harper had a good response, I don't have the whole quote but he said something to the effect that:

If at the end of the day we are found offside of prior interpretations of the rules we will adjust our practices accordingly and expect all other parties to play by the same rules.
