madmax Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 This has got to be the most absurd....no wait, it's politics...ok this has got to be another one of the most absurd things to go on within the Liberal Party http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor..._liberal_080402 Quote
AngusThermopyle Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Well, thats all rather strange to say the least. It was my impression that they usually rush to release the names, I may be wrong but it is the impression I had. Does it look to anyone else like the Liberal party is more deserving of the name Clown School with each passing day, or is it just me and my rather jaded view of life? Quote I yam what I yam - Popeye
Sean Hayward Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 The Liberal Party is using court action to prevent freedom of speech. Hmm. Wasn't that what they told the public was dangerous when Harper sued them for accusing him in the Cadman Affair? Quote
madmax Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 They have a list? in Québec? Well, thats all rather strange to say the least. It was my impression that they usually rush to release the names, I may be wrong but it is the impression I had.Does it look to anyone else like the Liberal party is more deserving of the name Clown School with each passing day, or is it just me and my rather jaded view of life? I also thought they were in a rush to get names out. It's not like the candidates are running for the Communist, BQ, Rhino, NPD, or Green Party. I would think any of those party names might put a Candidates job in Jeapardy, but Liberal? A circus requires clowns and the Liberals appear to be recruiting. Quote
gc1765 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 OTTAWA — The federal Liberals have suddenly dropped a bid to block a Montreal newspaper from publishing a list of party candidates lined up to run in Quebec. Liberals Drop Court Case Quote Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable. - Jeffrey Sachs (from his book "The End of Poverty")
Borg Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 OTTAWA — The federal Liberals have suddenly dropped a bid to block a Montreal newspaper from publishing a list of party candidates lined up to run in Quebec. Liberals Drop Court Case They do not have the money to follow it up in court - and no wealthy backers want to spend any more money on a losing cause. Borg Quote
