Pellaken Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 its a prediction of mine that will either come true or be proven wrong in the nest 24 hours the evidence is there IMHO. Martin has commited himself to the party, and in the CBC's call in show a stratigest hinted that someone else may want to enter the race. For the record, I've also said that Layton would not win the NDP leadership, and that Paul Martin dident stand a chance in hell to win the Liberal Leadership... I've also said that there would be a merger on the right before the 2008 election which, technically, came true. (made before october 03) lets see if I'm right about this Quote

I'm tired of reading ill-prepared remarks. can you be more specific? what about my remarks do you find "ill-prepared" is it simple gramatical and spelling errors? I can run them through a spell-checker if thats all it is. do you want proof (links to) what I am saying? or do you disagree with my prediction? Quote
Neal.F. Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Word in the press is that Martin will announce tomorrow that he will leave the Canadian Alliance Caucus and sit as an independent and will then vie for the Liberal nomination in Esquimat-Juan-de-Fuca. I assume that he will join the Liberal Caucus when and if he wins the nomination. Quote
dnsfurlan Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 What's the story with Keith Martin? Here's a guy who ran for the leadership of the Canadian Alliance last time around and now he's turning turncoat? I don't get what these guys hope to accomplish by being another face in the crowd within the Liberal Party machinery. Is the lure of power that great? It wasn't for John Nunziata. And it just smells of political opportunism. What could possibly be the principle involved in going over to the Liberals? Quote
Neal.F. Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Martin was always a misfit within the Reform/CA. For one thing, he supports abortion, gay right and legal pot. There's that, and I also think he's been reading the polls showing the Liberals ahead in BC. That will change in a hurry on account of the BCLibs scandal sheet. Quote
Pellaken Posted January 14, 2004 Author Report Posted January 14, 2004 ok, so I was slightly off... Quote
